Whether you're gearing up for a weekend trip or headed to the green, the Chevy Blazer offers the perfect blend of style, space, and performance to meet your needs.
Keeping the motivation to get exercise in can sometimes be hard; a long day at work, too many responsibilities, and the overall drive might not be there on most nights. Sometimes the best motivation is right outside your window as the Michigan summer can be the perfect motivation to get outside and get in shape. If you need a few suggestions, here are five places you can get your fitness on while enjoying the great outdoors.
Beacon Park is one of the top places to visit on a summer night with a plethora of entertainment options, but some might not know it hosts a ton of great exercise events during the summer. A couple of highlights include cardio boxing, baby and me yoga, cardio hip hop, and much more. There are also various paths for you to walk or run and plenty of space throughout the park to get a good workout in.
Campus Martius Park
Whether you're gearing up for a weekend trip or headed to the green, the Chevy Blazer offers the perfect blend of style, space, and performance to meet your needs.
Coined as “Detroit’s Gathering Place,” Campus Martius Park is always bustling with things to do. The park’s event calendar is filled with free fitness opportunities such as Workout Wednesdays, Lunchtime Yoga, YMCA Yoga at Grand Circus Park, and free cardio hip hop class.
The Wise Decision Fit Club at the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy
Detroit’s Wise Decision Fit Club aims to tear down obstacles of the mind and body to get everybody in shape, and they’re doing just that every week at the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy. Free classes are held every Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at Mt. Elliott Park and will feature a coordinated workout from one of the gym leaders. Other fitness events include Yoga on the Riverfront and Tai Chi on the Riverfront.
One of the most popular parks in Metro Detroit has no shortage of outdoor activities to enjoy, but the park also features over 27 miles of trails, including three fitness trails. The trails are located near Eastwood Beach and range from 0.75 miles to 1.75 miles of trail with exercise stations. It’s a perfect exercise spot and yet another excuse to make the trip out to Stony Creek.
